In addition to writing and speaking I recently expanded what I teach to include focusing on parenting and relationships skills that will last a lifetime. I am now a Certified Gottman Educator, trained to teach the Bringing Baby Home Program.
Bringing Baby Home (BBH) is a research-based and research tested psycho-educational intervention. The Program focuses on helping expectant couples and parents of infants and toddlers equip themselves with the knowledge and skills needed to cope constructively with the changes brought about by the birth (adoption) of a child. The BBH Program teaches couples how to strengthen their friendship, increase intimacy, and regulate conflict. Couples also learn how to co-parent with their partner, and discover ways to keep both parents involved. BBH teaches sensitive and responsive parenting and promotes the development of healthier infants and assists children in their emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
